Corporate Eye Care
A lot of people use computers all throughout the day. According to the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations, all employed habitual users of Display Screen Equipment are entitled to eye examinations paid for by their employer. The employer is also required to pay for the spectacles specifically required for Video Display Unit (VDU) use. Some employers may have chosen a suitable range of basic frames to satisfy the requirements of the regulations, others may provide the employees with a voucher that can help with the cost of the frames.
The purpose of the eye examination is to increase comfort and accuracy when using a VDU. The optometrist can advise you on work routines, lighting and work station designs and how to use your spectacles correctly when on the VDU.
